Troy Pruitt made a motion for the following rule change: State Finals Rules #11: Add State Finals short round stock shall be chosen by the adult director of the specific event along with two appointed adults. Stock numbers shall be given to the secretary the night before the short round. If it is not turned in to the secretary, the selection will revert back to the current (July 2009) rule. Because this is not a "true short round", contestants will draw back to the established herd, and CAN draw the same animal they already competed on.
Nebraska Horse Council will be a $5000. sponsor for the 2010 year.
Approval committee approved all rodeos. There were some suggestions that some of the rodeos run steer wrestling in a full arena, instead of a split arena. Nancy will suggest this to these rodeos.
Awards committee will award Tod Slone saddle certificates to the 2010 Champions.
Hastings will be the site of the 2011-2012 state finals.
