Draft Meeting Minutes of the Nebraska High School Rodeo Board of Directors
August 12, 2023 at Bassett High School Rodeo

Jason Ohm called the meeting to order following the General Membership meeting. All members were present.

Jasper Fanning presented the minutes of the June 10, 2023 meeting and moved to approve as submitted. Motion seconded by Adam Clark, motion carried.

Halie gave the financial report. Board members discussed having the bookkeeping in an accounting software for reporting purposes.

Halie discussed the texting line and its use.

The Board and secretaries discussed changes to make regarding the secretary positions, the responsibilities and the compensation for those positions. Jasper Fanning moved to form a committee to formulate a recommendation to meet our staffing needs including responsibilities, volunteer assistance, and pay. Jasper, Will, and Heather volunteered for the committee. The committee will get input from the secretaries as well.

The board reviewed applications submitted. Levi Fisher moved to approve the judge application submitted by Rod Palmer. Seconded by Adam Clark. Motion carried.

Jamie Olson moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Richard Schrunk. Motion carried. Meeting was adjourned.
